Silence is Not My Forte

I am thoroughly convinced that one cannot win when it comes to the game of blogging. There is always someone trying to tell you that your opinions are errant, your politics contrived and your voice unwanted. Some of these are the same people that claim to support the 1st Amendment and write to discredit the Patriot Act's silencing of America. I am slowly beginning to understand why so many people don't even open their mouths: As soon as one does, there is a target painted to the back. The Government doesn't have to oppress; it's citizens do the work for it.
